Life Leisure, Jackson's Lane, Hazel Grove, Stockport SK7 5JW
Established in July 1987 by the then supervisor at Hazel Grove Swimming Bath’s, Tony Fryer. He realised a need for people with physical and sensory disabilities, and their families, to swim in a safe and controlled environment, whilst keeping it as close to an open public session as possible.
Adaptations to the building for accessibility and a space in the pool timetable provided the club with an hour a week, which the staff at Life Leisure continue to support.
The club continues to run with the help of volunteers, donations and the support of the staff at Life Leisure.
All members are encouraged to bring family and friends. There is no upper or lower age limit and we do not charge admission. We only ask that you complete a membership form and respect the needs of other members.
